Lemon Buttermilk Snow

Yellow snow* you can eat! This ice cream seriously reminds me of being a kid, eating handfuls of snow off my mittens. It's got the wet but dry, crumbly mouth feel that is followed close by lemon and cream. Omigosh, I drove home on my lunch break to dig into it again; it's that good. Perfect winter dessert.

1 c. buttermilk
1/2 c lemon juice (3 lemons)
1/2 c sugar plus 2 tablespoons
3/4 c half and half
1 c milk

Whisk sugar into lemon juice until fully dissolved and add milks. Pour into ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's directions or place in freezer, stirring every few hours until you get sick of doing that. Let harden.

*Just kidding, it's not yellow. ;)
