Dulce de Leche Sauce

It's so easy it's almost hard to justify an entire post but it's also the yummiest sauce ever so it's hard to excuse the omission. So, here we go.

Dulce de Leche

from David Lebovitz

Can of Sweetened Condensed Milk

Preheat oven to 425. Pour one can of the sweetened condensed milk into a shallow baking dish and set this inside a large roasting pan. Fill roasting pan with hot water until it reaches halfway up the side of the baking dish. Sprinkle sea salt over the milk before you cover it with tin foil. Bake for 1-1 1/4 hour until milk is caramelized a nice deep brown. Allow to cool. If there are lumps, you can blend it with your hand mixer and it should smooth right out.

Store in mason jars and try not to eat it all before you gift it to friends. Great over ice cream or with spoon.
